SUMMARY:Global Walk for Water
DESCRIPTION:Hand-in-Hand with African Women ( www.handinhand.space ) in conjunction with our partner Bridges of Hope is sponsoring a Global Walk for Water to  be held between October 9-16\, 2021. \nOur vision is to have individuals and groups of walkers around the globe walking to raise funds and raise awareness of the unacceptable challenges people who have very little water face. \nAt this present time\, women in the Maasai Mara in Kenya\, continue to fetch water in 20 – liter containers\, from stagnant water dugouts-shared by the cows\, to supply their homes.   Livestock in this community have been moved 6 days walk away from the community to have any food for the cattle and 7 sheep have died from lack of food and water in September. \nThis fundraiser will go towards drilling a borehole and purchase of a solar pump to bring water to the Oloonkerine community in Kenya. \nWe appreciate your participation as a walker.  Once you register we will send you a sample letter you can use to send to friends and family asking them to support your Global Walk for Water.
