Our Vision
Hand-in-Hand with African Women \ Main de la Main is a charitable organization designed to empower African women and girls to continue to expand their leadership and entrepreneurial skills in their communities. Our vision is to create sustainable support to enhance the possibilities for African women to become self-reliant. We share the vision of our partner, Bridges of Hope, who believe the noblest act of charity is to ‘give people an opportunity to survive, thrive and in turn, guide others to the same, with dignity and purpose’.
We are committed to:
- equity, equal access to abundance, particularly, those in greatest need.
- empower African women and girls to find their voice in their communities
- raise awareness about social justice, solidarity and reciprocity in the global community.

Your donations will be contributing to the realizations of the following projects in their initial phases:
- A hatchery and poultry farm in Western Kenya.
- Drill a bore hole and provide solar powered equipment to pump water to a storage tank on Maasai Mara Land in Kenya
- Income generating farming project: Purchase of land to plant vegetables and fruit trees to feed children in an orphanage (Togo)

MULLAN CONSULTING ENGINEERS LTD. is an independent Civil Engineering Consultancy based in the Coleraine Area of Northern Ireland. Established by Siobhán Mullan in 2011.
Ecole Georges H. Primeau Middle School is located in Morinville, in central Alberta, Canada. Since 2021 the students at the school have raised funds through annual fundraisers they plan and execute and then donate proceeds to our three African projects.

May 10, 2023
Many of our followers know that on October 7, drillers arrived at the Maasai Mara community of Olloonkerine to drill a bore hole so the community could have access to fresh water. The borehole was dug down to 350 meters and a source of water was found. We collected donations towards the tower, storage tanks and solar panels and Mama Dinah negotiated contracts and purchased supplies to complete the project. The tower structure is traveling from Nairobi to Olookerine on May 10 and will be assembled there. Water storage tanks have been purchased and all is expected to be completed by the end of May.
Project Education
April 21, 2023 was Global Day to honor Creativity and Innovation. It was also our day to launch a new fundraising campaign for Mama Charity’s school in Ghana. We have previously shared that it costs 100 euro for a full year of education for a child and we are hoping to inspire donors to donate 10 euro/month. If we could get 100 people to do that, Mama Charity would be able to pay the teachers’ salaries each month and take off the pressure of robbing Peter to pay Paul, so to speak, each month in order to keep the school going. We are taking our campaign to social media and hoping our readers will realize children are the future of our societies. If we have any dream of changing the world, bringing it to peace and shared prosperity, it starts with the children who will become our future citizens globally.
